Vom 4.–7. Juni fand in Karlsruhe im Parzival-Zentrum die Jahrestagung 2026 statt, mit etwa 200 Teilnehmenden und Dozent:innen aus aller Welt. In über 30 Ländern wurden bisher Schulungen sowie notfall- und traumapädagogische Maßnahmen für Menschen durchgeführt, die extreme Gewalterfahrungen durch Krieg, Naturkatastrophen oder Amokläufe erlitten haben. Ersteinsätze übernimmt Notfallpädagogik ohne Grenzen e.V., weiterführende Schulungen die Abteilung Notfallpädagogik bei den Freunden der Erziehungskunst Rudolf Steiners – beide mit Sitz am Parzival-Zentrum Karlsruhe.

Micaela Sauber ist seit 2010 als Erzählerin bei Einsätzen aktiv und oft Workshopleiterin bei den Jahrestagungen. Das Treffen der weltweit Aktiven am 4.6. rundete sie mit der Sufi-Erzählung „Mushkil Gusha" auf Englisch ab. Eine Teilnehmerin aus Indien erklärte berührt, der Name bedeute „der Problemlöser" auf Hindi – passend zur Geschichte. Nach vielen anstrengenden Worten tat ein Märchen am Abend gut.

Mit inzwischen 81 Jahren bot Micaela zusammen mit der jungen Erlebnispädagogin Magdalena Ries zwei Workshops zur Heldenreise und einem Motiv aus Parzival an, unterstützt von Erzähler:innen ohne Grenzen. Die gute Resonanz aus allen Kontinenten gab Anregung zu weiterer Vertiefung: Fortbildungen zu „Storytelling und Erlebnispädagogik in der weltweiten Notfallpädagogik" sind in Vorbereitung. Auch das Buch „Im Auge des Sturms" von Erzähler:innen ohne Grenzen stieß in Karlsruhe auf starkes Interesse.

Wir berichten gerne mehr über unsere Fortbildungen und hoffen, dass Erzähler:innen ohne Grenzen sich weiterhin fördernd an dieser Initiative beteiligt.

Storytelling at the Festive Annual Conference '20 Years of Emergency Pedagogy Worldwide

From June 4–7, the 2026 Annual Conference took place in Karlsruhe at the Parzival Center, with around 200 participants and lecturers from all over the world. Training sessions, as well as emergency and trauma-pedagogical measures, have so far been carried out in over 30 countries for people who have suffered extreme experiences of violence through war, natural disasters, or mass shootings. First responses are handled by Notfallpädagogik ohne Grenzen e.V. (Emergency Pedagogy Without Borders), while further training is provided by the Emergency Pedagogy department of the Friends of Waldorf Education (Rudolf Steiner) – both based at the Parzival Center in Karlsruhe.

Micaela Sauber has been active as a storyteller in various missions since 2010 and is frequently a workshop leader at the annual conferences. She rounded off the gathering of globally active members on June 4 with the Sufi story "Mushkil Gusha," told in English. A participant from India explained, deeply moved, that the name means "the problem solver" in Hindi – fitting, given the story's theme. After many exhausting words, a fairy tale in the evening was a welcome comfort.

Now 81 years old, Micaela, together with the young experiential educator Magdalena Ries, offered two workshops on the Hero's Journey and a motif from Parzival, supported by Erzähler:innen ohne Grenzen (Storytellers Without Borders). The strong response from participants across all continents inspired further development: training courses on "Storytelling and Experiential Education in Global Emergency Pedagogy" are currently in preparation. The book "In the Eye of the Storm" by Erzähler:innen ohne Grenzen also generated strong interest in Karlsruhe, both in German and in English.
